This Reality, curated By Pegah Kargar, Liezel Strauss and Kitty Dinshaw

These artists make work that resonates with the three of us; and we believe deserves a wider audience. We know you will find something to love in this exhibition. 

What struck us most vividly was the interplay these works have between both altered states and the lives we lead today. It's a very human instinct, to observe both the world we exist in, and simultaneously to dream fantastical dreams. We wanted to bring both the real and the fantasy side by side; each work makes the next piece more beautiful. 

Collaboration Background and Context

In November last year we jointly launched a call for art and we were overwhelmed with the response. We received more than 300 applications from women creators from around the world and the quality of the art was breathtaking. In addition to the twelve artists selected here for this exhibition, six artists were also  selected for the artist fund and each artist received CAD$ 680 to further their art careers.
